Obituary
Jace Newman Delatte, 34, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on September 4, 2023 at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
He was born on January 12, 1989 in Port Arthur, Texas to Donny Delatte and Angi Passmore Avery. Jace was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Sabine Pass High School in 2007. He worked as a piping Supervisor for Turner Industries for over 15 years. Jace was a member of Encounter Church in Groves. He enjoyed riding motorcycle and dirt bikes, fishing and boating. He also enjoyed his work and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobbie and Albert Delatte.
Jace is survived by his loving wife, Ashli Landry Delatte of Port Arthur; his three daughters, Blakleigh Delatte, Landry Delatte and Hudsyn Delatte all of Port Arthur; his son, Greyson Delatte of Port Arthur; his mother, Angi Avery of Lumberton; his father, Donny Delatte of Sabine Pass; his sister, Aondrea Wilburn of Lumberton; his brother, Donny Delatte, Jr. of Port Neches; his grandmother, Irma Passmore of Lumberton along with Ashli’s parents, Randy and Clare Landry of Groves; her brother, Nicholas Landry of Groves and her natural father, Dave Shaw and wife Candice of Florida as well as nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Jace’s life will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 9, 2023 with visitation to continue at 9:00 AM at Encounter Church in Groves. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
