Isabel Flores

Isabel Flores, 86, of Groves, Texas, passed away on October 11, 2024, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, with a Rosary starting at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 18, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Shrine in Port Arthur. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland.

Born in Cameron, Texas, on April 3, 1938, she was the daughter of Paul Canizales, Sr. and Tila (Hinojosa) Canizales. She was a vibrant and active woman who was always on the go. Isabel had a deep love for her family, and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She dedicated much of her time to taking care of them, cherishing every moment spent with her loved. Isabel was also a proud member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Shrine, where she found community and fulfillment. Her devotion to her faith was evident in her daily life. She will be remembered fondly for her energetic spirit and the love she shared with those around her. Isabel leaves behind a legacy of love and family that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Baltazar Flores, Jr.; son, Edward John Flores.

She is survived by her children, Susie Champagne and husband Mark, Christopher Flores and wife Lisa, and Melissa Redden; grandchildren Stephanie Rensland and husband Joey, Haeli Flores, Gavin Redden and wife Ashtyn, Kyler Redden, Jillian Flores, Choe Flores, three great grandchildren; Isabel Rensland, Grayson Redden, and Kaden Redden; siblings, Amelia Daniels, Susie Marcum, Paul Canizales, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be George Canizales, Johnny Canizales, Joey Elizondo, George Elizondo, Joey Rensland, David Prioux, Steve Canizales and Michael Prioux.
