Isaac Gage Sipes

Isaac Gage Sipes, 17, of Bridge City, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his home.

Isaac was born on October 12, 2003 to parents Charlotte Ann Nepveux and Charles Thomas Sipes Jr. in Fort Polk, Louisiana. He lived in the Bridge City area since 2006, he was a sophomore in high school at BCHS. Isaac was getting ready to begin studying and training to be an EMT followed by a career in Fire and Rescue. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping at Boykin Springs, and visiting family in Oklahoma and Missouri. Isaac had a sharp and inquisitive mind, always intensely studying the world around him. He was gentle, caring, kind, and more thoughtful than most knew because of his quiet reflection. He had a bold and fierce love for equality and fairness . He loved playing video games, listening to music, watching movies, snuggling his cat Nilla Bean, goofing off with family and friends, and making everyone laugh.  He was loved by his family and friends exactly as he loved others; unequivocally.

Isaac is survived by his mother and father, brother Isaiah Solomon Sipes, sister Norah Simone Sipes, Great-Grandfather Richard Lee Henson Sr., Grandmother Linda Bornette, Grandmother Patricia Nepveux, Sharon Fouquier, Great-Uncle Richard Lee Henson Jr. and Great-Aunt Ramona Henson, Christopher Menard, Aunt Hilary Nepveux Ramirez and Uncle Aaron Ramirez, Uncle Fred Nepveux Jr. and Aunt Miranda Nepveux, Uncle Walter Nepveux, Uncle Daniel Verrett and Aunt Lacey Monceaux, Uncle Jeremy Armstrong and Aunt Shellie Armstrong, along with many cousins, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Fred Anthony Nepveux, Sr., Great-Grandmother Lottie Marie Henson, Aunt Heather Lynn Nepveux, Great-Grandmother Joan Simon, Great-Grandfather Wallace Simon, Grandmother Bonnie Fay Sipes, and Grandfather Randy Bornette.

The beauty and simplicity of the past feels just as hard to hold onto as a butterfly... but I will always cherish this truly happy day when the sweetest butterfly landed on my shoulder.

Isaac, Learning today of your passing was one of the saddest moments in my life. While time took your family along a separate path than mine, I’ve never stopped loving you or wondering what an amazing person you’d become. To me, you were frozen in time. That carefree little kid, with the sweetest smile. I’ll always remember those early years. Being there the day you were born, your few years living here in Houston, all our visits, playing Xbox, watching movies, the zoo, the beach, eating crawfish, birthdays, and spending holidays together. A decade of happy memories. You had this joy and light that made everyone happy to be around you. You were smart & funny & sweet, and I can only imagine how much that grew, as you got older. I’m sure you made even greater memories with you family and friends throughout the years. And I am sure you were amazing. I am so sorry I didn’t get to meet the young man you became. I am heartbroken for you, your parents, your siblings, your family, your friends and myself. You will be missed by everyone who ever knew you. I miss and love you kiddo. You are all in my prayers.

My dear friend, you are so loved and so missed. You have impacted my life in so many ways, and I am so grateful I got the opportunity to get back in touch with you. I will forever hold close the memories of elementary, junior high, and even everything in the last month. Someone once said that the best portion of a good man’s life is his little nameless unrememberd acts of kindness and of love. You were so kindhearted, and that is something we all will remember. You have a beautiful soul. May you Rest In Peace now. My condolences and prayers to the family and the rest affected.

There are not any words I can say or any words I can write, that will ever do justice or ever express it right, My love for you is indescribable, my longing for your presence is unimaginable. My urge to follow right behind you, to lead the fight into the unknown together is my honest truth. How do I move on from here, when just yesterday your soul was still near, when your love I could feel no matter where your physical form was steered. My life will never be the same, always missing from it your mind of frame, each waking moment cloudy in a darkness even during the bright of the day.  So to you, I will forever honor, in this life and the next, for you I will always love, even when I am long gone after my death.

You were a good friend and I will miss you. I remember when we were younger.. You, me and wawa would always  hang out. The weekends were the best. We would stay the night, eat pizza, stay up late and play video games. This picture was when you came with us to the fair. I remember we ate so much food and got on all the rides that we could.  These memories I will cherish forever. I pray that you are now resting in peace my friend. Can’t wait until we meet again. Prayers for the family during this difficult time.

You are loved and forever in my heart. It is not impermanence that makes us suffer. What makes us suffer is wanting things to be permanent when they are not. There are other worlds than these. ♡
