Messages of Love

From family and friends

We hadn’t spoken to ira in years and were wanting to reconnect. We did not know of his passing. He was an inspirational being to us.

I am so sorry to hear of Bubba‘s passing. He was always so kind and intelligent. He and I studied  together for pre-calculus. To say the least he understood it way better than I did, but he did not mind explaining it to me and swore that he learned better by helping me. Please send our love and condolences to his family.  ~ Shannon Larson

Bubba - as he was known as a classmate of a class of NHS 1990.  He was a nice and polite guy who will be missed by many! May God’s peace and comfort be with his family.

Very sorry to hear about Ira. Want to extend my warmest sympathies to Mary and Lynn and the family. It has been a very long time since I saw or spoke to Ira (and yes will always think of him a little as Bubba), but I'll never forget those years of school and afterward. Football, Debate, so many weekend and summer nights spent with Ira and friends in Nederland. He was kind enough to take me in for some time when I left the Midwest and was looking for work in Austin. He gave me more laughter than I was ever able to repay in kind. He passed too soon, but will always remember him as the good friend that he was and for the great times growing up.
