Dear Tammy and Mark, I have vivid memories of your Mom from when I was 4 - 7 years old, 12 years old and a couple of times as an adult. She was always so sweet and kind to me and she had that impish grin that was a heart melter. I remember the little things that were so special to me as a child. The homemade lemonade and her buying me embroidery supplies in Bridge City. Her taking ALL (even Otis & Patty) of us to the day movie and allowing us to sit on the front row while I put Red Hots up my nose! I think that you did it too, Mark! Her protection of me with a towel hug when she and Daddy screamed for me to get out of the water when a snake was swimming towards me. I remember visiting her mother and playing BINGO live from the t.v. station. She let me help mash the potatoes and when they were done, she told me that I could lick the masher. She was a good mother to me before she and Daddy married. She was good to me when no one was around to see it. I had lived in baby sitters homes for 3 years. I loved when I was in Bridge City. I hung on to those memories when I was taken to Houston and faced the horrors of a bad mother. I'm so glad that I got to sit next to her, hug her and tell her that she was special to me, in April. She still had that cute, impish grin and she still made me feel safe. I love you, Christie
