Messages of Love

From family and friends

Laura Clark November 23, 2019
To Dear Fred and his family, I have the fondest memories of Fred and Ruth from my childhood. Fred and my mother Nancy Clark who died so long ago, were somehow related but more importantly, were always in touch. There were many sailing trips and stays in Port Arthur! One fond memory is when my mom dropped her glasses in the water on one of these trips. Fred would have no part of that being their final resting place! He went down in the water over and over until he finally brought them back up! Fred was just the sweetest and most caring man I’ve known. I am happy that he will now reunite with my mother in heaven where he will stand out as one of the finest examples of a human being. Peace and love to you Fred.

Fred was an extraordinary person who loved his family and enjoyed sailing! We were related by marriage through my son's wife, Leigh. In the twenty-five years we were friends, all of my memories of him and Ruth were happy times. In eternity Fred will be sailing through the stars with wind in his sails.

I knew Fred after his retirement from Texaco.  He was a good friend and never met a stranger.  Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Fred was a sweet and caring man who will be missed by all who knew him. He cared for so many over his life and helped make wonderful memories for those who enjoyed sailing trips with him. You will be missed dear friend!

I first met Fred in June 1961 when I started work at Texaco Research Chemicals Research Section in Port Arthur, Tx. Fred was hard working, intense, and dedicated. He later became an expert in polymer chemistry. Fred was also a loyal friend which he demonstrated over and over through the years. He had many friends at Texaco Research and was well respected as a person and a scientist. Fred and Ruth lived within sight of my wife's home. He will be missed. God Bless You Fred. Rest in Peace good friend. Gayle P. Hebert Huntsville, TX.
