Frederick Troy Moak

Frederick Troy Moak, 61, of Beaumont, TX passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at home.

Troy was born on June 19, 1961 in Port Arthur, TX to Freddy and Barbara Moak.  He graduated from Port Neches–Groves High School then attended Lamar University.  In his younger years, Troy enjoyed participating at the Port Arthur Little Theater and Drama Department at Lamar University where he worked backstage behind the scenes.  Troy was involved many years with Triangle Aids Network.  He had worked with his family at the family business, Moak’s Meat Market, for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, as a representative for RJ Reynolds, and as a Realtor for ReMax.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmett and Gertrude “Grandma Gertie” Moak, his grandmother, Ruth “Granny” Wright, his grandfather, Leland Wright, special friend, Steve Bean, and chosen nephew, Daniel Will.

Troy is survived by his parents Freddy and Barbara Moak of Groves, TX, his brother, Todd Moak and wife, Rene of Warren, TX, his sister, Rendy Moak and fiancé, Bobby Monson, Jr. of Groves, TX, His is also survived by several nieces and nephews, 5 great nieces, 1 great nephew, several uncles, aunts and cousins and special friend Karla Wren Gronberg.

Honoring Troy as pallbearers will be Todd Moak, Kyl May, Hunter May, Bobby Monson, Jr., Josh Tolliver, Mark Wilburn. Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Menard.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, with a gathering of family and friends from 12:00 PM until service time. A private burial will follow held by the family.
