Eugenio Garcia

Eugenio Garcia, 75, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024.

Eugenio was born on September 21, 1949 in El Remolino, Coahuila, Mexico to parents Margarita Perez and Reyes Garcia. During his many years of employment, Eugenio worked at Bethlehem Steel, Vessel Repair, and TDI as a Combo Fitter/Welder. Eugenio enjoyed watching baseball, going out to eat, repairing things for everyone in his neighborhood, and, most importantly, loving and spending time with his granddaughters.

Eugenio is survived by his children, Eduardo Garcia and his wife Debra Garcia, Cynthia Garcia, Ezequiel Garcia, and Susana Reyes. He is also survived by his four beautiful granddaughters, Tatiana Alexa Reyes, Priscilla Kiana Reyes, Ayva Garcia, and Emma Garcia. Lastly, he is survived by Michael Ray Sonnier (who he thought of as a son) and his wife Tiffany Sonnier and children Navaeh Sonnier, Chase Sonnier, and Kade Sonnier.

A funeral service will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, TX on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 with viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (rosary at 6:30 p.m.) and viewing followed by burial (at Greenlawn Memorial Park) at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.
