Eris Minnie Seelig Becker, 98, of Port Arthur passed away on Saturday , September 9, 2023 at Calder Woods Nursing Home in Beaumont.

She was born on October 30, 1924 in Thorndale, Texas to Frederick August Otto Seelig and Antonie Meta Dornbusch Seelig. Eris was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and devoted homemaker in raising her family along with her husband, Herbert. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Arthur.

Eris was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Clara Niemtschk; her two brothers, Felton and Lawrence Seelig; her husband, Herbert W. Becker and her son, Ronnie Becker.

She is survived by her two daughters, Christie LeJune and husband Todd of Fannett, Jennifer Lenz and husband Marty of Sugarland; her son, Dennis Becker and wife Dawn of Port Neches. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Brett Becker, Ethan Becker, Aubry LeJune, Jonathan Lenz and Christopher Lenz along with her six great grandchildren, Elena, Cameron, Savannah, Grace, Magnolia and Trace.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Eris’s life will be at 2:00 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

So very sorry Mrs. Becker had to leave us. Mrs. Becker was the sweetest, kindest person to me for years. I never forgot about her being in my life and bringing love and laughter and many memories. My love thoughts and prayers to her wonderful family.

Christie, Todd and Aubry, I’m very sorry for your loss. Mrs Becker was a special woman, and one of the strongest women I knew. She loved her family and I’m told she was an excellent cook and landscaper. Christie, she loved that you were always there for her with your frequent visits. Aubry, she loved that you were the only granddaughter and she doted on you❤️. Todd, she knew you were always there to help her repair something. She is now in paradise with Mr. Becker. RIP Mrs. Becker❤️
