Obituary
Erik Samuel Toups was a resident of Silsbee, Texas. He passed away at the tender age of 30.
He was a big hearted, talented, loveable and thoughtful man.
All who knew him loved him. He loved his family dearly. He never failed to show his love through his special craftsmanship, and art of gift giving for every special occasion.
His favorite past times included spending time with family. Often you could find him at the gym, working on projects like his boat, but most of all he was a devout duck hunter. He and his sister’s most quality time was spent in the marsh and reading the Bible together.
He graduated from Silsbee High School in the class of 2010, later continuing his education and graduating from Lamar Institute of Technology with a degree in instrumentation.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert G. Toups, III.
He was survived by his Grandmother, JoJo; his mother Alma Rash and husband Randy; his sister Brooke Toups; brother Christopher Wall and niece Ella Wall.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am Monday, September 12, 2022 at North End Baptist Church in Beaumont with visitation from 9:00 am till service time at the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors.

Erik, I will always cherish the memories we shared together, the years of friendship and all the laughter. We were such an odd pair we were complete opposites but I always felt like we just worked. You used to make me laugh so much, I miss the times we would spend time together but I’m thankful for the memories of you. You being gone is heavy on my heart.
