A Life Remembered

Obituary

Eddy Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His twinkling eyes, warm smile, and gentle spirit remain a light to all who were blessed to know him.

Eddy was born to Alonzo and Sedalis Burge in Vinton, Louisiana on May 11th, 1930. He was a Korean war veteran who honorably served in the third infantry until December 31st, 1950. Eddy married Helen Boullion on February 20, 1955. They had two beautiful children, Kenneth Paul and Mary Catherine. Eddy had many siblings, nieces, and nephews whom he kept close relationships with throughout his life and loved very much. Following the death of his wife, Helen in June of 1999, Eddy married Alma Miller on July 02, 2001.

Eddy is survived by his granddaughters Helen Garcia, Shelby Hebert, and Marilee Burge, and his great grandchildren Madelynn and Alexander Aguilar, Jaxon Garcia, and Harper and Reagan Seekins. Eddy was loved and cared for dearly by Alma's daughter Dianne McCall and her husband, Tom. During Eddy’s last years in the Dallas area, those who met and cared for him were struck by his overwhelming kindness and his sweet demeanor. He always loved a good game of dominoes or bingo, enjoyed visits and calls from his family, and was known for getting folks singing and laughing at The Ivy in McKenny where he spent his last years.

Eddy is preceded in death by his wife Helen Boullion, his children Cathy and Kenneth, and his wife Alma Gibson Miller.

Eddy Paul's Celebration of Life service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Groves, Texas on Saturday, April 12th at 2:00 P.M, with lunch to follow.
