Donna Marie Fontenot

Donna Marie Fontenot, 50, of Groves passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at her home.

She was born on April 17, 1969 to her parents, Noson Earl Fontenot and Michele Rita Sussko Fontenot in Union, New Jersey. Donna has been a resident of the area since 1976. She graduated from Bridge City High School in 1987, where she earned her Cosmetology certificate. Donna has been a licensed hair stylist for 32 years and was currently working at A Cut Above Salon in Groves.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Michele Rita Fontenot; her grandparents, Mike and Rita Sussko, Voorhies and Beatrice Fontenot.

Donna is survived by her father, Noson Earl Fontenot of Bridge City; her sisters, Katherine Forse and husband, John of Silsbee, Kelly Bright and husband, Brian of Bridge City; her brothers, Noson Fontenot and wife, Terrie of Lake Jackson, Trent Fontenot and wife, Darlene of Groves; her nieces, Taylor Bright, Kaitlyn Sampson, Hannah Fontenot and Jessica Price; her nephews, Andrew Fontenot and Peter Fontenot. She is also survived by her half sister, Cindy Kleypas of Florida; half brother, Coco Fontenot and wife, Debrah of Bridge City and her fiancé, Gary Whatley of Groves.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A memorial service to honor Donna’s life will be at 6:00 PM Friday in the Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves.
