Dolores Estelle Manuel

Dolores Estelle Manuel, 82, of Groves passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Dolores was born on August 14, 1936 in Silsbee, Texas to parents, Estelle (Bohler) and Phillip Wilson. She had lived in Port Acres, where she raised her nine children and the last five years in Groves. Dolores enjoyed cooking for her family, drawing, sewing clothes for her children, working in her garden and feeding birds. Dolores was a loving person who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence Manuel, her sister, Pauline LaRue, her sons, Gene Manuel and Charles "CL" Manuel.

Dolores is survived by her children, Evelyn Eaton and her husband, Steve of Sanger, TX, Mike Mancil of Orange, Calvin Manuel and his wife, Gayle of Vidor, Rhonda Wiggins of Port Arthur, Lori Mancil of New Iberia, LA, Peggy Dore and her husband, Jason Blevins of Port Arthur, Clint Manuel of Groves and her companion for several years the family dog, Maddie. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, with Chaplain Wanda Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
