Obituary

Delores Lucille Richard, 88, of Groves passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 at Forever Young Home.

She was born November 21, 1931 in Port Arthur, Texas, to parents Lula Mae (Harmon) and Joseph Sanders Jennings. She lived in Groves for many years and worked as a receptionist for James Arisco for a number of years. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Delores was a loving person who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard R. Richard Sr.; sister, Helen Neely; and brothers, Sanders James "Bo" Jennings, Harlan Eugene Jennings.

Delores is survived by her son, Richard "Rick" Richard Jr. and his wife, Camilla of Bridge City; granddaughter, Olivia Simmons and her husband, Todd of Port Neches; her companion for years, Jimmy Davis and his daughter, Renee Canizaro; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Penny Lee and the staff at Forever Young Home for the love and care given to Delores.

Due to Coronavirus-19 there will be a limited number of people at the gathering. The family will have a private graveside service under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
