Obituary

Deborah Lynn Reeves, 62, of Groves passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.

She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on June 7, 1960. Deborah was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 1978. Deborah worked as a home health provider for many years and as a crossing guard at Taft Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Whitridge and her step-father, Arvie Whitridge.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Reeves of Groves; her three daughters, Melissa Reeves of Houston, Layla Guillot and Brittney Kitchell both of Groves; her son, Whitney Reeves of Groves along with five grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Anita Reeves of Groves and her brother, Rodney Reeves of Groves.

Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.

Debbie was a year ahead of me in school. She was always so sweet & had a smile in her face. I wished I had known that was her that was the school traffic guard. I would have said something to her, as I passed by every morning on my way to work. She had that intersection running so smoothly!! I missed her when she wasn't there.
