Obituary

David Lane Vidalier, 68, of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at his home.

He was born on December 4, 1955 in Port Arthur, Texas to Joseph Percy Vidalier and Della Mae David Vidalier. David was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. He began working at Burton Shipyard for many years and retired from Texas Catylist.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his three brothers, James Dale Vidalier and his wife Tommie Vidalier, Russell Wayne Vidalier and Joseph Ronald Vidalier; his daughter, Missy Deslatte and her husband Joey, his son-in-law, David Talbert and his niece, Stephanie Vidalier.

David is survived by his two daughters, April Adaway and her husband Chad of Port Neches, Lisa Demas and her husband Jimmy of Port Neches; his six grandchildren, Destiny, Cody, Christion, Gavin, Dylan and Layla along with his two great grandchildren, Eli and Emma. He is also survived by his sister, Vivian Cook of Port Arthur; his brother, John Paul Vidalier and his wife Sharon of Port Neches along with several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Moss, Gavin Deslatte, Dylan Talbert, Julian Lopez, Ethan Vidalier, Kenny Cook, John Paul Vidalier and Chad Adaway.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor David’s life will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2024 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with his nephew, Derick Vidalier officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
