Obituary

Daryl Paul Dionne, 71, of Beaumont passed away on July 3, 2020 at his home.

He was born on February 28, 1949 to his parents, Edgar Paul Dionne and Lucille Lavina Martin Dionne in Port Arthur. Daryl was raised in Port Arthur and attended St. James Catholic Church. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1967. Daryl proudly served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He retired as a construction worker with Protherm and worked at the Motiva plant.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Daryl is survived by his two daughters, Crystal Marceaux and her husband, Josh of Winnie, Stacia Braun of Sour Lake along with their mother, Janella Theriot of Winnie, his three grandchildren, Katelynn Pittman, Colton Marceaux and Jaxon Marceaux. He is also survived by his sister, Paula Dufour and her husband, Roger of Victoria, his brother, Mark Dionne of Beaumont as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 4:30 PM till 6:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Daryl’s life will be at 6:30 PM Friday in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Military Funeral Honors will follow at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson.

In Lieu of Flowers, Family request donations to be made to Wouded Warrior Project in memory of Daryl.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis that we are in, all visitors are required to wear face mask or covering at the Funeral Home as mandated by the County and to practice social distancing.
