Dan Wade Hardin, 58, of Port Arthur passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Dan was born on May 21, 1960 in Kirbyville, Texas to parents Fannie Mae (Hamlett) and Bernie Cecil Hardin. He has lived in the Port Arthur area for many years and worked for Insulator Local 22 in Houston. Dan enjoyed going hunting, playing cards, going for a ride on his motorcycle and tinkering in his shop. Dan was a loving person who will be dearly missed.

Dan is preceded in death by his father, Bernie C. Hardin, his brother, Dale Hardin.

Dan is survived by he wife, Susan Hardin of Port Arthur; his mother, Fannie M. Hardin of Port Arthur, his daughters, Dana Hallmark of Vidor, Holly Kiegel and her husband, Anthony of Tuttle, OK, Bridget Melancon of Nederland, his sister, Susan Lewis of Kirbyville, his brother, Rex Hardin and wife Robin of Scottsdale, AZ. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Landon Reed, Ryan Bean, Kielor Janeaux, Hayden Lynam, Ty Kiegel, Pyper Kiegel, his beloved dog, Buster and beloved cat, Hemingway.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 2 PM till 4 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a memorial service at 3 PM conducted by the family. Arrangements for cremation after the services will be under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
