A Life Remembered

Obituary

Claude Beauford Martin Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 81 in Beaumont, Texas. Born on August 30, 1943, in Georgia, Claude lived a life marked by dedication to his family and a strong work ethic.

Claude had a successful career as a Supervisor at Total Oil Refinery for 40+ years, where he earned the respect of his colleagues. His commitment to his work was only matched by his passion for leisure activities, which included golfing and fishing—pastimes that brought him joy and relaxation.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Claude's military service was a significant aspect of his life, reflecting his dedication to his country. He carried the values instilled in him during his service into every facet of his life, especially in the way he cherished his family.

Claude’s love for his family was profound. He is survived by three sons: Brian Glenn Martin and wife Samantha of Lumberton, James Craig Martin and wife Wendi of Nederland, and Kyle Aaron Martin of Nederland. He was a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren and a proud great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren, who will deeply miss his presence in their lives.

He also leaves behind two brothers, Daryl Martin of Dallas and Richard Martin of Singapore, who will carry on his memory as they reflect on their time together.

Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Beauford Martin Sr. and Ruth Powell Martin, as well as his beloved wife, Edna Estelle Martin. Their legacy of love and family will always be remembered by those he leaves behind.

As we remember Claude, we celebrate a life well-lived, devoted to family, friends, and the simple pleasures that defined him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
