Claire Constance Daigle, 93, of Groves passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at her residence.
Claire was born on January 17, 1927 in Crowley, Louisiana to parents, Lavina Constance (Pellerin) and Francis Key Martin. She had lived in the Groves area for 66 plus years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception-St. Peter Catholic Church, where she was on the Altar Society. Claire enjoyed crocheting, quilting, cross-stitching and embroidering. Claire was a loving person who loved spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clifford Daigle, her brother, Louis Martin, Key Martin and her sister, Lucille Dionne.
Claire is survived by her children Martin J. Daigle and wife Royce of Orange, Connie M. Pharis and her husband, George of Orange, Julie A. Harrison and husband, Jerry of Kountze, Kathy S. Daigle of Nederland, Helen Becker and her husband, Pat of Groves. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with at gathering of family and friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Celebrant will be Rev. J. C. Coon. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
