Christine Marie Savant

Christine Marie Savant, 82, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on June 15, 2023 at St Elizabeth's Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.  She was born in Houston, Texas on May 16, 1941 to Ruth Peckham Velasquez and Robert Velasquez.

Survivors include children Kathleen Pollock of Groves, Texas; Kim Carranco and her husband Adrian of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Danny Godfrey and his wife Ruth of Carrollton, Texas; David Godfrey of Seattle, Washington; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and her beloved dog Maggie. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Sr and Ruth Velasquez and her brothers Robert Jr and George Velasquez, her son Christie Lee Godfrey and daughter Darlene Godfrey.

A gathering of Christine's family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. with funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2023, at Clayton Thompson in Groves. Burial of her Ashes will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Groves, Texas.
