Charlotte Marie Neel, 73, of Port Acres passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018, at her residence.

Charlotte was born on June 23, 1945 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Gloria Mae (Faulk) and Daniel Joseph Dugas. She was a lifelong resident of Port Acres and was a member of St. Theresa, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church. In her younger years she worked alongside her husband, Charles Neel, as a sandblaster. She enjoyed going shopping for antique and loved spending time with her family. Charlotte was a loving person; who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Marvin Neel; her son, Monty Ray Neel, her siblings, Jerry Allen Dugas, Daniel James Dugas, Patricia Vidrine.

Those left to cherish Charlotte memory are her sons, Gerald Neel and wife, Jana, Phillip Neel all of Port Acres; brothers, Leon Dugas and wife, Sherry of Beauxart Gardens, David Dugas of Taylor Landing, Tommy Dugas and wife, Mary of Beauxart Gardens, Timmy Dugas and wife, Wendeline of Lumberton, Mark Dugas and Joseph Dugas both of Port Acres; sisters, Loretta Davis and husband, Gerald of Port Acres, Peggy Lee of Taylor Landing. She is also survived by one grandchild, one great grandchild and many special nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
