My sympathy goes out to the family of Charles.  He holds a special place in my heart especially for the help he gave my sister, Donna, through her many years of illness with her expensive medications.  I also very much appreciated the time and effort he gave helping organize our Bishop Byrne class of 57’ class reunions.  May God bless Charles in His heavenly kingdom.

Charles and I have been friends since the 9th grade. He was very popular in school, always laughing, and having a good time.  In our later years, we  both enjoyed watching our grandsons play baseball.  We were in business together for 8 years.  I really enjoyed my time working with Charles.  He was a great detail man.  He kept very organized records for everything  he was involved in whether it was in business, the Italian Club, school reunions, pharmacy associations, and more.  He will be greatly missed.

I was informed of the death of Charles Anselmo this morning, by our mutual friend Vincent Fertitta, of Beaumont. In 1960, i began my first year of law school at UHouston. John Lovoi, my friend from 1st Grade at St. Anthony School, Jan Shook, and Charles Anselmo in their last year of UH Pharmacy , leased the bottom half of a multi story residence on Blodgett St. Houston. Each of these persons were dear friends of each other. John Lovoi returned to Beaumont to serve the family in the Lovoi & Sons Pharmacy, the largest independent pharmacy between Houston and New Orleans , Jan Shook practiced pharmacy in mid county , he continued his education and became a physician in mid county served as a Primary Care physician:, Charles Anselmo had his own pharmacy in mid county for many years. Charles Anselmo remained a practicing pharmacist until his death. These three special friends of mine within a 13 month period died - each served the community in which they resided for the betterment of all for 56 years. Charles Anselmo is in the prayers of my family. Charles with his ear to ear grin and bubbling personality will be missed. I treasure my association and friendship with John Lovoi, Jan Shook and Charles Anselmo, may you all rest in peace. Daniel (Danny) Snooks Houston, TX.
