A Life Remembered

Obituary

Carole Sterns of Bridge City entered peacefully into the presence of her lord and Savior, Jesus Christ surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Her life was a beautiful reflection of faith, grace, compassion, and unwavering love for others.

Carole was a devoted Christian who lived her life trusting in God's promises and sharing His love with those around her. She found strength through her faith and was a source of encouragement, kindness, and comfort to everyone blessed to know her. Whether through a gentle word, a heartfelt prayer, or simply opening her heart and home to others, Carole carried the light of Christ wherever she went.

She cherished her family deeply and considered them one of God's greatest blessings in her life. Her love was steadfast, selfless, and unconditional. Carole enjoyed spending time with those she loved most creating treasured memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Though her earthly journey has ended, her family rejoices in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ and takes comfort knowing she is now at peace in Heaven. As scripture reminds us, "Well done, good and faithful servant" Matthew 25:23.

Carole is survived by her daughters, Chrystal Dyneene Sterns (Jennifer), Kasey Almonte, son-in-law, Chuck Kaiser, and her beautiful sister, Nancy Padgett of Labelle, Texas. Brother, Superman: Jimmie Cox of Sour Lake and Jay Cox (Janice) of Bridge City. She was blessed with grandsons Justin Richoux (Kelly) of New Mexico, Lucky Bruce (Taylor), Bobby Fox (Annie) of Mauriceville and granddaughter, Sarah Willis (Bret) and great-grandchildren, Ronnin, Brody, Remi, Jetson, Beau, Jordan, and Barrett, also, several cousins, nephews and nieces along with hundreds of friends. She will be missed by her dear family in the Lord, many friends and co-workers from Dr. Barnett’s Office and the Plasma Center.

Carole will be greeted at the gates of Heaven by her father, James Ambrose Cox, Mother, Dorotha Louise Haines, and daughters, Lisa Michelle Mullen Kaiser and Rhonda Cay Mullen Richoux Bruce and their father, Coy Edward Mullen, Chrystal’s father, Jimmie Ray (Bud) Sterns, best friend of 50 years, Debbie Renshaw Vercher Cruizin, Barbara Lee Smith, Sheila Brown, and several sweet little fur babies.

The community and family will gather to honor Carole’s memory at a visitation to be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, 5200 39th Street, Groves, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with entombment being held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
