Betty Jean Rodrigue

Betty Jean Rodrigue, 88, of Montgomery, Texas, formerly of Port Acres, passed away on Friday, May 01, 2020 in Montgomery.

Betty was born on May 23, 1931 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to parents Vinice (Aguillard) and Jeane Marie Duos. She had lived in the Port Acres area since 1959 and was a member of St. Therese, The Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing pokeno, dominos and going shopping. Betty was a loving person, who loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marvin Dale Rodrigue Sr., her sister, Patsy Lee Crowder.

Betty is survived by her sons, John Dale Rodrigue and his wife, Virginia of Montgomery, Dr. Marvin Dale Rodrigue Jr. and his wife, Bridgett of Friendswood, her daughters, Carol Broussard and her husband, Harold James of Port Arthur, Patricia Rodrigue of Rusk, Pamela LaCombe and her husband, Wayne of Orange. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

A limited gathering of family and friends, due to COVID-19, on Monday, May 4, 2020 form 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, with the limited gathering family and friends. Officiating will be Rev. Rejimon George, C.M.I.
