Roy Joseph Guidry Jr. January 29, 1945 - January 14, 2009

Roy Joseph Guidry, Jr. passed away on January 14, 2009 at his residence after suffering from a brief illness. He was born in Port Arthur on January 29, 1945 to Rita and Roy Guidry, Sr. He grew up in Port Arthur and moved to Flint Michigan where he retired with 30 years of service from General Motors Buick Division as a "Die Setter." He is preceded in death by his parents, Rita and Roy Guidry, Sr., and 1 brother, James Guidry. He is survived by his children: 1 daughter: Alicia Nevala & husband Danny of Farmerville, LA; 2 sons: Leonce Guidry & wife Darcie of Bernice, LA; Kevin Guidry & wife Barbara of LaBelle, TX. Five grandchildren: Erin & Nick Nevala, Shelby Flowers, Sarah Guidry, and Johnathan Guidry. Siblings include: Lonnie Guidry, Carl Guidry and wife Lana, and Darlene Perry all of Port Arthur, TX. Pallbearers are Frank Andrews, Terry Angelle, Blake LeBlanc, Mike Sexton, Ray Theriot, Issac Tabor, Johnathan Guidry, and Brian Guidry.
