Herman Joseph Arnaud August 17, 1938 - January 16, 2009

Herman Joseph Arnaud, 70, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born August 17, 1938 to Octivia Boudreaux Arnaud and Joseph Elton Arnaud in Arnaudville, Louisiana. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1956 and Lamar University in 1974 with a degree in Electronics. Herman served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Salem from February 1957 to February 1959, Flagship of the U. S. Navy 6th Fleet Mediterranean and also served in the Naval Reserves for 8 years. He retired from Equistar as an operator after 38 years of service. He has been a resident of the Port Arthur area for over 68 years and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland. He was a member of the board of directors for DuPont Goodrich Federal Credit Union for over 15 years. He was an avid Notre Dame Fan, attended many of their games in South Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Leroy Arnaud and Cecil Arnaud . He is survived by his wife Doris Arnaud of Nederland, Texas, his daughters Tracey Broussard and her husband Jimmy of Bridge City, Texas, Gina Foreman and her husband Steven of Nederland, Texas, his sons Grady Arnaud of Bridge City, Texas, Craig Arnaud and his wife Kelley of Nederland, Texas, Steve Arnaud and his wife Melissa of Bridge City, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren Joshua, Jerron and Jason Broussard, Kinsey and Konner Arnaud, Maggie and Cameron Arnaud, Reilly Hebert, Macy, Matt and Marcus Foreman and Ava Arnaud. He also leaves behind his sister Deborah Arnaud of Port Neches, Texas and two brothers Gene Arnaud of Groves, Texas, Glen Arnaud of Nederland as well as several nieces and nephews.
