Gloria Ann Trotter January 5, 1932 - January 27, 2009

Gloria "Memaw" Trotter, 77, of Sabine Pass, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 5, 1932 to Louise Begnaud Melancon and Alphonse Melancon in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine Pass. She was a devoted homemaker and her family was her main priority. Gloria adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will truly be missed by all those that knew and loved her. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sabine Pass. She was preceded in death by her husband George Trotter Sr., parents Alphonse and Louise Melancon, sisters Anna Louise Zeringue and Lydia Mae Melancon, son-in-law Larry Bellard and adopted daughter Barbara Roberts. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Trotter Olson of Sabine Pass, Texas, Rebecca Bellard of Sabine Pass, Texas, her son George Lee Trotter, Jr. of Sabine Pass, Texas, her son-in-law Michael Olson of Sabine Pass, Texas, grandchildren Paul Trotter of Beaumont, Texas, Eric Trotter of Silsbee, Texas, Jana Boggs McKinney and her husband Nathan of Groves, Texas, Jonathan Andrews of Beaumont, Texas, Sarah Olson of Nederland, Texas, Michael David Olson of Sabine Pass, Texas, Rachael Olson of Sabine Pass, Texas, Jeanie Bellard Hill and her husband Carl of New Iberia, Louisiana, Beau Bellard and his wife Ashley of Youngsville, Louisiana, Jeff Bellard of Rayne, Louisiana, Leigh Roberts Burris and her husband Lynn of Pensacola, Florida. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Baylee Boggs, Andrew Guidry, Cougar Hill, Danielle Bellard, Corey Bellard, Brittany Bellard, Austin Bellard, Luke Bellard, Ayla Marra, Collin Marra, Jocelyn Burris and Natalie McKinney (due in March) along with her faithful companion and beloved dog Maddy.
