A Life Remembered

Obituary

Susan Shipley March 20, 1959 - March 19, 2009

Sue Zerangue Shipley, 49, of Groves died March 19, 2009 at her home surrounded by her friends and family. Friday was her 50th birthday. Sue was born March 20, 1959, in Alexandria, La., and lived in the Groves-area for most of her life. Family members and friends will remember her strength and positivism. Her infectious laugh and radiant smile was felt whenever she entered a room. Sue lived a full and vivacious life, and never let her battle with cancer stop her from enjoying it. Sue will be greatly missed as a mother, daughter, aunt, sister and friend. Her memory will continue to live on in her daughters, Katherine and Olivia, and her granddaughter Gwyneth. The family thanks Odyssey Hospice Care for its care and support. The family also appreciates the extended family and numerous friends for their generosity, love and continued support. Sue is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Katherine and Olivia of Groves; granddaughter Gwyneth Brown; mother Ann Brazeal of Groves; father and stepmother Joe and Barbara Zerangue of Burkeville; sister Jo Ann and husband Greg Graham of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; brother Tim Zerangue and wife Shannon of Newnan, Georgia; and brother Shane Zerangue of Chattanooga, Tenn,; and nieces, nephews, countless family members and friends. Pallbearers include nephews Marcus Walton, Jarrod Zerangue and Tony Zerangue; brother-in-law Greg Graham; and special friends Butch Meyer and Terry Schwertner.
