I was about to refer a customer to mcinnisindustries.com today and the website would not come up. I did a search to see if I could find his phone number and I stumbled upon his memorial page. I am sorry to hear of your loss. Jerry and I talked on the phone a few times and seemed to be a very fine gentleman. As a fellow window covering industry expert I felt like I was talking to a kind grandfather that I could glean valuable information from if I would take the time to listen. God bless.

I can't even start to put my thoughts together about Jerry's passing. I'm the daughter of the late Minnie Mae Mcinnis Orgill from Long Island NY who was his Aunt. We lived so far away so I really only got to know my southern relatives through the great stories from my parents. Years ago my parents drove cross country and saw all of you. My father who didn't get there as often as my mother was so taken by Jerry's spirit and hospitality. Over the years after my father passed Jerry always remembered my mother and checked in on her from time to time and always sent her this unique fruit that's name escapes me. I was just about to get in touch with Jerry and Judy after Lois' passing to really put some steam into our geneology and as we usually do I put off the phone calls and feel so sorry not to get to know him better. I plan on going through the old picture box for pictures of him to pass on to you Judy. I hope we can touch base soon. Love, Sheila

Mr. McInnis was such a kind, sweet soul. He came to the credit union where I used to work and he was always so nice. He came through the commercial lane in the drive-thru one time on Valentine's Day. At the time I wasn't married or dating anyone. He asked me if I got anything for Valentine's day and I told him that I hadn't because I wasn't dating anyone. Well, he left and came driving up a few minutes later with a heart-shaped box of chocolates and gave them to me and told me to have a wonderful Valentine's day. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. He didn't know it, but it was a pretty rough time in my life and he just really made me have faith in the human race. :-) I wasn't close to him like a lot of people were, but he touched my life in a very positive way and I will always remember that kindness he showed to me that day and every day. I'm sure he is in Heaven rejoicing with Jesus right now. Sincerely, Tracie Barrera

Jerry and I go back to our childhood and we did so many things together. What a sad day to read he is gone. Jerry was such a good person I know we will see him again if we are pure enought to go where he waits for us. Owen

Jerry and Judy have been my friends since probably first grade at DeQueen School. We all went are separate ways, but you just don't forget good friends. I will miss you so much Jerry. It is so hard to know you were taken from us so soon. You are now in God's loving arms. Nancy

I had the privilege of working for Jerry back in the early 80's. He was a kind and generous man who really cared about people. He and I e-mailed each other over the years and tried to keep up with each other. I learned a lot from him and am thankful God put him in my life. I and the people of Jefferson County will miss him.
