Linda Fay McCown October 14, 1943 - August 2, 2009

Linda Fay Alphin McCown, 65, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Houston. She was born October 14, 1943 to Lilla Mae Cutler Alphin and Monoe L. Alphin in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School. Linda worked at Dorothy's Front Porch for over 12 years and recently opened Collectibles on Boston Avenue as the owner and operator. She was affiliated with St. John United Methodist Church in Port Acres. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Kevin Lee Legros. She is survived by her husband Joseph "Joe" McCown of Port Arthur, grandson Christopher Lee Legros, sister Grace Totten of Port Arthur, brothers Curtis Alphin and wife Sharon of Grandbury, Texas, Leonard Alphin and wife Gail of Florine, Louisiana, special brother-in-law John McCown and wife Carline of Fannett, several nieces and nephews along with her best friends Dorothy Fuselier and Pat Taylor.
