Margarita Perez January 20, 1912 - September 29, 2009

Margarita Perez, 97, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009. She was born on January 20, 1912 to Maria Arriola Flores and Rafael Flores in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico. She has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1927. Margarita married the love of her life in 1931, Cirilo L. Perez, they were together until his death in 1979. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a member of the Damas de Guadalupanas. Margarita was preceded in death by her husband Cirilo L. Perez, sons Emile and Alfred Perez, grandson David Lee Perez and great great grandson Christian Layne Camp. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Perez, Kelly Guillory, Jarrott Guillory, David Tyler Guillory, Nathan Camp, John Rivas. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Burris and Joe Escobedo. Margarita is survived by her son, Arthur Perez of Nederland, daughters, Mary L. Perez and Dolores Perez both of Port Arthur, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
