Alfonso Sanchez, 88, of Port Arthur passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 3, 1921 to Maria Silva Sanchez and Alfonso Sanchez in Managua, Nicaragua. He has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1988. Alfonso worked as a self employed bus driver for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Maria Lazo Sanchez and his parents and his brother Heriberto from Nicaragua. He is survived by his daughters Ma de Jesus Sanchez, Martha Ana Sanchez and Thelma Miriam Sanchez all of Managua, Nicaragua, Argentina Asuncion Chamorro of Queens, New York, Gioconda Yadira Blanco and Mayra Urania Moak both of Port Arthur, Marisol del Rosario Sanchez of Guatemala, Guatemala, sons Jose Miguel Sanchez, Jorge Ezequiel Sanchez, Pablo Nicolas Sanchez, Marvin Fernando Sanchez and Alfonso Bayardo Sanchez all of Managua, Nicaragua, Felix Antonio Sanchez and Hugo Leonel Sanchez both of Port Arthur, 67 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He is also survived by his sisters Angelica Sanchez and Carmen Sanchez both of Managua Nicaragua, Aurora Solis of Miami, Florida.
