Joseph Harry Lalonde February 24, 1934 - January 26, 2010

Joseph Harry Lalonde, 75, of Fannett passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. He was born February 24, 1934 to Theresa Chautin Lalonde and Johnny Lalonde in Arnaudville, Louisiana. Joseph retired from Burton Shipyard as a carpenter foreman after 30 years of service. He was a longtime resident of Port Arthur before moving to Fannett. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur and St. Mary Church in Fannett. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, Lola Angelle Lalonde and his brothers, Curtis and Curley Lalonde. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Lucy Lalonde of Fannett, his daughters, Margaret Elaine Lalonde Migues and husband Danny of Fannett, Tina Marie Lalonde of Houston, Texas, his sons, Kenneth Paul Lalonde and wife Anna of Hamshire, Ted Wayne Lalonde of Fannett along with eight grandchildren, Danielle Brown and husband Rick, Amanda Cormier and husband Kevin, Heather Migues, Monique Lalonde, Reid Lalonde, Brittany Lalonde, Ashlynn Lalonde and Derek Lalonde, four great grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Kiara and Manny. He is also survived by his sisters, Ethel Latiolais and her late husband Levi of Breaux Bridge, La., Jane Artigue and husband Harris of Arnaudville, La., Nell Begnaud and husband Carroll of Cecilia, La., Shirley Quebedeaux and husband James of Washington, La., Flo Dupre and husband Joe of Opelousas, La., Wanda Sitting and husband Ray of Ville Platte, La., his brother, Ricky Lalonde and wife Jackie of Ville Platte, La., his godchildren, Carolyn Frederick, Patsy Frey along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
