Lorraine Robinson December 23, 1916 - February 17, 2010

Lorraine Small Robinson, 93, formerly of Pt. Arthur, passed away February 17, 2010 at Village Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lumberton. Lorraine was born on December 23, 1916 in Sabine Pass and lived in Port Arthur for most of her life. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and Port Arthur Business College. She was an executive secretary for Texaco Research where she worked for over twenty years before her retirement in 1981. Lorraine was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Port Arthur where she volunteered in the church library. She loved to play bridge, visit her grandchildren, travel with her friends and will be remembered for her wonderful, infectious laugh and her generosity of spirit. Lorraine was the loving wife of Carroll Edwin Robinson, who passed away in 1962. She is survived by her son, Paul Robinson, and his wife, Ruthie, of Beaumont, her daughter, Sharon Zorbach, and her husband, Greg, of San Jose, California, grandchildren, Anne Zimmer and Katie Bennett, three great-grandchildren and two step-grandsons. A special thanks to Village Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and staff for their excellent care and a special thanks to Joann Williams who took loving care of our Mom the last years of her life. Lorraine was a wonderful wife, mother, and daughter. Those around her could not help but join in with her laughter and smile.She could beam with pride when talking about her children and grandchildren. She has left us all with many fond memories.
