Margie Yvonne Ball July 8, 1921 - February 23, 2010

Margie Johnson Ball, 88, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Home Place, private nursing care facility in Groves. She was born July 8, 1921 to Cora Edgar Johnson and George Johnson in Forest Hill, Louisiana. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 55 years. Margie was a member of Proctor Baptist Church where she taught 2nd grade Sunday school for 22 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 58 years, Goldman Ball. She is survived by her daughters, Judith Wendel and husband Jack of Garland, Texas,Julia Morris and husband Gerald of Bridge City, Texas and Lesa Wagner and husband John of Mansfield, Texas, her son, James "Buddy" Ball of Cypress, Texas along with 9 grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Margie Ball's name to the Alzheimer's Association or Odyssey Hospice.
