Lula Mae Lee Miller, 86, of Woodville, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at her home. She was born July 16, 1923 to Ludie Alphin Lee and P. J. Lee in Port Arthur, Texas. She lived in Port Arthur for over 60 years before moving to Woodville to be close to her family. Lula Mae retired from Retail Merchants Association as a Assistant Manager with 20 years of service. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Port Arthur. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Grady E. Miller, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Theda Landry and husband Robert of Mont Belvieu, Texas, her son, Grady "Sonny" Miller, Jr. and wife Linda of Woodville, Texas along with five grandchildren, Penny Tinkle and husband Billy, Pam Haygood, Bubba Miller and wife Tammy, Tisha Young and husband Doug, Tara Matson and husband Chris. She is also survived by her twelve great grandchildren, Heather Tinkle, Micah Tinkle, Dana Haygood, Jason Haygood, Macie Haygood, Bradlee Miller, Sonnilyn Miller, Haylee Young, Abigail Young, Reese Young, Miles Matson and Jack Matson.

I am so sorry that I did not know that she was living in Woodville and missed the announcement until too late. I was Lila and Dick Alphins daughter Grace. I saw Lula Mae at Ethels funeral. There are not many of us Alphins left. My sister Linda died in August. There is Leonard, Curtis, Maxine and myself the original grandkids of Johns. His son Dan and Ernest. So Sorry for you loss.
