Bodie C. Pryor

Bodie C. Pryor July 23, 1913 - April 6, 2010

PRYOR, Bodie C. Was called Home by his Lord and Savior on April 6 after 96 years on Earth. He joins his wife of 49 years, Evelyn and his youngest son, Curtis, and many other family members and friends in Heaven. He leaves behind five children -- Marilyn, Janice, Roger, Nancy, and Jimmy, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Special thanks to grandson, Sean Pryor, for his long time companionship and assistance. Bodie earned his B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering and spent his entire professional career in Port Arthur where he lived for 72+ years. Always a champion of the underdog, he assisted dozens of people in many ways -- without fanfare or accolades. He was born in New Mexico, moved to Texas at age 23, and was the last survivor of eight siblings. He will missed by many, but is rejoicing with his Savior today! Come, celebrate his life with us. In lieu of flowers Bodie requested that contribution be made to the Bodie Pryor Scholarship fund [P.O. BOX 310 , Port Arthur TX , 77641] at Lamar State College in Port Arthur or a charity of your choice .
