Alpha Hamilton December 22, 1908 - April 26, 2010

Alpha Hamilton, 101, of Houston and former resident of Port Arthur passed away at her residence in Houston on Monday April 26, 2010. She was born December 22, 1908 to Charlotte Mary Murphy Trahan and John Ambrose Trahan in Cameron, Louisiana. She was a longtime resident of Port Arthur before moving to Houston seven years ago. Alpha graduated from Port Arthur Business College and retired from Southern Union Gas Company. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Port Arthur. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Lee Hamilton, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Elizabeth Trahan, Shirley and James Lee Trahan, Aubrey and Lydia Trahan, and Weldon Trahan. She is survived by her daughter, Ann and husband Brent Moseley of Houston, Texas,three grandchildren and spouses, Stephanie Moseley King and Russell, Todd Moseley and Bea, Kelly Moseley and Lou Lino, six great grandchildren (Greta King, Leslie, Macy and Cameron Moseley, Sam and Anabel Lino), her sister-in-law, Dolores Trahan of Placerville, Ca. along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as her caregiver, Wanda Monroe Odjadjare and good friends who visited weekly, Mildred and Dave Herfort.
