Adan Cavazos, 83 of Port Arthur, passed away Friday June 2 surrounded by his loving family. Adan was born February 4, 1927 to Manuel and Manuela Cavazos in Cd. Mier Tomps, Mexico. He moved to Port Arthur over 48 years ago and has been a resident of the area ever since. Mr. Cavazos was the owner of A.M.F. Materials and Transport along with his sons, Danny and Phillip, based out of Port Arthur and a long time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Adan is survived by his wife Graciela Villarreal Cavazos, Sons Manuel "Danny" Cavazos and wife Irma, Felipe "Phillip" Cavazos and wife Terry, and Hector Cantu. Sisters Blanca Alvarez of Kingsville, Texas, Edelmira Cavazos of Mexico City, Mexico and Nery Maritza Cavazos Urbano of Cd. Mier Tomps, Mexico. Grandchildren Christina Cavazos Smith and husband Robert , Amanda Cavazos Brooks and husband Daniel, Adam Cavazos and wife Charity, Evelyn Cavazos Cortez and husband Anthony, Natalie Cavazos Leblanc and husband Trey, Lindsay Cavazos Irwin and husband Robert, Erik Cavazos , Jesse Erwin, and Andrew Cantu. Great Grandchildren Damik Cavazos, Cruz Cavazos, Hunter Smith, Kacey Smith, Victoria Brooks, DJ Brooks, Emily Cortez, Anthony Cortez Jr., Scott LeBlanc, Hudson LeBlanc, and Vance Irwin.
