Albert Geoffroy, Jr. August 16, 1939 - July 6, 2010

Albert Geoffroy, Jr., 70, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Cypress Glen Nursing Home. He was born August 16, 1939 to Isabelle Simon Geoffroy and Albert V. Geoffroy in Erath, Louisiana. He graduated from PN-G High School and lived in the area for most of his life. He was ordained a priest on May 28, 1965 and served the Diocese of Beaumont for twenty five years before leaving the diocese in 1980, he served at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves and St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur. He began a career with the City of Houston Health Department that lasted for several years before he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister Jeanette LeBlanc and husband Alfred Falcon of Groves, his brothers, Roland Geoffroy and wife Joan of Port Neches and Billy Geoffroy and wife Shirley of Port Arthur along with numerous nieces and nephews.
