Ruth Frickenschmidt 78 of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at her residence. Ruth was born on August 31, 1932 in Leesville, Louisiana to her parents Willie and Opal Stanly Freels. She was a resident of Port Arthur for the past 60 years. Ruth was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 10, 2010 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the Castor Cemetery near Leesville, Louisiana. Ruth is survive by her husband of 59 years, Harold of Port Arthur and her son Randy and his wife Brenda Frickenschmidt of Amite, Louisiana.
