Dear Summer & Chad, I am so sorry that I could not be there fir the service today. I am so incredibly sad about this and I am so sorry that the 2 of you have had to go through this experience. I have struggled with myself trying to decide on going to the service, but last night was almost more than I could take. I really need to keep my memories intact. Your dad has always been in my heart and he always will be. Again, I am so sorry, and I will be keeping you in my prayers! My love and sympathy to you both, Joy

My husband and I had the pleasure to meet Mr. Benkert on saturday 9-18-10 briefly for about 10 minutes at the store before you enter the camp site of San Augustine. This was our first time there and we were greeted by a friendly smile and a warm handshake. Our thoughts and prayers go to all the family and friends of this kind-hearted man.

My thoughts and prayers are with Danny's family nad friends. You were all a pert of my family and a big part of my life for so many years. If I know Danny at all, he is right in the middle of a big chess match with Garry Kasparov or Bobby Fisher. May time help you heal and may you find comfort in his memories. My Sympathies, Joy Cole
