Marcelino Reyes Arriola, Sr. April 13, 1924 - November 7, 2010

Marcelino "Morris" Reyes Arriola, Sr., 86, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 13, 1924 to Leanora Reyes Arriola and Pedro Arriola in Orangefield, Texas. He has been a resident of the Port Arthur area since 1926. Morris served in the U.S. Army Airborne Division during World War II, he enlisted twice from 1940 to 1947. He retired from Texaco as a welder after 30 years of service. After his retirement, he worked for Offshore Diving as a welder for five years until he retired. He was affiliated with El Buen Pastor Church in Port Arthur. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jay Frederick, his brothers, Alfred and Pete Arriola and his grandson, Rudolph Arriola, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Mollie Chavez Arriola of Port Arthur, his daughters, Linda Keller Barrera and husband George of The Colony, Texas, Mary Frances Arriola Derise and husband Bobby Jack of Groves, Mary Helen Arriola and partner Randy Stutes of Port Arthur, his sons, Richard Arriola and wife Juana of Honey Island, Texas, Rudolph Arriola of Port Arthur, Marcelino Arriola, Jr. of Port Arthur and Roy Arriola of Lumberton. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren along with his sisters, Mary Lopez and husband Marcelino of Beaumont, Leventina Delino of Port Arthur, Ella Nockroes of San Antonio and his brother, Manuel Arriola of Port Arthur as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
