Edward J. "Eddie" Lauve, 93 of Groves, TX. died on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Herman Memorial Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX. Eddie was a native of Jeanerette, LA. and was a resident of Port Arthur and Groves since 1938. He was a veteran of Patton's Army during WW II and retired from Texaco as an operator after 35 years of service. Eddie was a youth baseball umpire for several decades and enjoyed playing golf. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and touring the United States together. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents E. J. and Celyn Lauve, brothers Paul and Harry, sisters, Katherine, Hilda, Lorraine and Juanita. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lottie Ann Lauve of Groves, TX., sons, Bennie Lauve of Prague, The Czech Republic and Layne Lauve of Groves, TX., sister, Patsy Grace of Kenner, LA., grandchildren, Richard Lauve of Prague, and Sonia Weaver of Brookline NH., great-grandchildren, Devan and Jade Weaver.
