Tommy K. English May 21, 1927 - November 20, 2010

Tommy K. "T. K." English, 83, of Groves passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 21, 1927 to Zulma Mayeux English and Hiram English in Pineville, La. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in Plauceville, La. in 1939. Tommy served in the U. S. Marine Corps during WWII. He has been a resident of the area since 1948. He retired from Jefferson Chemical as a carpenter after 39 years of service. Tommy was affiliated with local Machinist Union and was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Nobie Jordan, Ada English, Nedra Mayeux and Louise Scallan, his brothers, Lavern, Ray, Harris and Burton, his son, Tim English. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy "Dottie" English of Groves, Tx., his daughters, Marla English of Richmond, Tx., Pat Arredondo and husband Orlando of Houston, Tx., his sons, Kent English and wife Sandy of Bridge City, Tx., Ricky English of Indian Lake, Tx., Shane English of Groves, Tx., Mitch English and wife Teresa of Lumberton, Tx., Mark English and wife Roxie of Port Neches, Tx., Jim English and wife Danna of Port Neches, Tx., John English and wife Tabitha of Houston, Tx. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren along with his sisters, Maria Hubbard and Kate McCaleb both of Plauceville, La. as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
