John Howard, Jr. January 14, 1936 - November 20, 2010

John Howard, Jr. John Howard, Jr., 74, of Groves passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at St. Lukes Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He was born January 14, 1936 to Marjorie Corsch Howard and John Howard, Sr. in Newark, New Jersey. He came to Texas in 1949 at the age of 12. He and his first wife Eva Ruth took over the family business, J. B. Auto in 1962 until it closed in 1973. John was a electrician by trade and also worked as a air conditioning technician working for Spence Battery, Myers Automotive and Dewitt Air Conditioning. From 1986 until 2007, he was a self employed air conditioning technician at the beach. His most recent job was at Sutherlands working in the electrical department. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Port Arthur. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 50 years, Eva Ruth Howard. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Howard of Groves, his daughters, Barbara Meadows and husband Clay of Longview, Texas, Debbi Tamez and husband Gerardo of Groves, his sons, Chuck Howard and John Stevens Howard, Sr. and wife Melanie all of Groves, his grandchildren, Scott LeDoux, Sandra Hebert, Gennifer LeDoux, John Stevens Howard, Jr., Cristen Meadows and Rebekah LeDoux, one great grandson, Jaden LeDoux.
