David Dean Clayton, 71, of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 7, 1939 to Pearl Reeder and David Clayton in Waurika, Oklahoma. He has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1989. David retired in 1999 from Brown and Root as a rod buster after 29 years. He was affiliated with the Salvation Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, G. B. Warren, his sisters, Ailene and Pearline, his wife, Betty Lou Clayton and his daughter, Debra Lynn Couch. He is survived by his daughters, Donna J. Wilkerson and husband William of Orange, Texas, Shelia Hickman of McComb, Mississippi, Nancy Drake of Port Arthur, Texas and Joyce Bonin and husband Kenneth of Gardner, Kansas, his sons, David D. Clayton, Jr. and wife Peggy of Highlands, Texas and Dean Couch and wife Shantel of Eglin AFB Florida. He is also survived by his fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren along with his sisters, Betty, Joyce and Jewel.
