Nicholas Zapotoschny, Sr., 93, of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Dubuis Hospital in Port Arthur. He was born May 27, 1917 to Nancy and John Zapotoschny in Garrett, Pennsylvania. Nick was a self employed carpenter affiliated with the Carpenters Local. He has been a resident of the Port Arthur area for over 65 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Viola Marie Richard Zapotoschny of Port Arthur, his daughter, Anne Marie Lewis and husband Jim of Atlanta, Georgia, his two sons, Nick Zapotoschny, Jr. and wife Dena of Port Arthur, Joe Zapotoschny and wife Debbie of Port Arthur, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren along with two sisters, Sophie Koval and Helen Zapotoschny both of Central City, PA, several nieces and nephews.
