Jerry Gene Blacketer, Jr. September 13, 1960 - March 16, 2011

Jerry Blacketer, Jr. age 50 of Port Acres passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. Jerry was born in Port Arthur on September 13, 1960 to Jerry and Elfreide Pressman Blacketer, Sr. He was the marine manager for Market Basket and was of the Protestant faith. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, he is survived by his mother, Elfreide Blacketer of Town Bluff, girlfriend Kristie Chorn and her daughters, Andrea, Jessica and Haley of Port Acres, former spouse, Betty Desormeaux of Port Acres, Son, Jerry Blacketer III, of Port Acres, daughter, Jennifer and her husband Justin Pelton of Port Acres, brother Tom Blacketer of Orange, special friend Shaundra Brown and family members Tammy, Christopher and Hannah, sister, Connie Gravagna of Springfield, MO., and spouse Brian Martin, and her family, Anna, Nick and Paul, sister, Becky Kerl of Town Bluff and her family Anthony, Alisha and Chelsea, 3 grandchildren, Austin, Abygale and Brayden.

Jerry worked with me since he was a teenager.I took him with me to all the stores i managed,bmt.,lufkin,etc.My heart goes out to jennifer,jerry,his mother and Tommy.I loved Jerry like a son.I will miss him very much.
